i spent the afternoon hanging around the provincial museum with the weidlich family on sunday, and oh my gosh, was it ever fun! these guys were up for anything and everything i suggested, and even had a couple cool ideas of their own. this was my first experience shooting a family with grown kids, and i could not have asked for a better group of people!! fun fun fun!

travelled out to buffalo lake for alisha and josh’s wedding on the lake on saturday, and despite EVERY weather station forecasting rain, we got through the late afternoon ceremony and all of the pictures without so much as a drop! the weather was actually perfect for pictures, overcast yet bright, and a refreshing change from july’s 30-plus degree weekends! alisha was just stunning in her awesome dress, josh was looking pretty darn good himself, and if you happened to see my post about their engagement session in may, you’ll know how excited i was for this wedding. well, alisha and josh and their bridal party definitely did not disappoint, and it was SO much fun hanging out with them all day.

details… oh, how i love the details…
...
alisha really integrated the green colour scheme into all parts of their day, i just love how the green and black sand look together during their sand ceremony!

and few teasers from the photosession!

congratulations and all the best guys, thanks for having us out to capture your day!

heading to bc for a few days to visit my mom and dad and the cabin i spent all of my summers at as a kid. i likely won’t have any email or voicemail access while i’m gone, so i’ll be catching up on all messages when i’m back in the office after alisha and josh’s wedding on buffalo lake next weekend!

and because what’s a blog post without any pictures, here are a few more teasers from my sessions last week!

..
yes, they are STANDING here… the grass on the edge of danielle and jay’s property is SO tall!
..
i just loved the cool textures and colours on this building i found downtown with anke and rob!
..

catch up with you all when i get back ๐Ÿ™‚

i met with anke and rob on the weekend to shoot their engagement session. we’d planned our sunset session over a month ago, and though i’m sure the sun *was* setting during our shoot, we certainly didn’t see any of it through the clouds… we had a great time anyways though, and checked out a bunch of new locations around town. once again, i had a cool couple who were up for anything, and i think a few of the teasers below will prove that ๐Ÿ™‚

enjoy.

.....
and this one is my fave from the session, i was so excited when we stumbled upon this ‘no standing’ sign… after having them stand on it for a while, what else to do but lay down on it? hot.
