.korreena.

i had a fantastic session with koreena earlier this week — this girl is SUCH a natural in front of the camera, not to mention tons of fun and a blast to be around! we planned to start out at one of my favourite coloured buildings, but arrived to find it halfway through a remodel (i’m not sure who decided khaki green would be an upgrade from bright red and blue… :P). despite my disappointment about losing such a cool location, we were able to utilize the construction site to make some amazing images. thanks korreena for an awesome afternoon, best of luck on this crazy adventure!

.binh and troy.

i’ll be shooting binh and troy’s wedding in banff next spring, and we got together last week to shoot their engagement session. these two were a ton of fun to be around, up for anything and always laughing! we checked out a new area on whyte, and it was full of cool little spots to shoot in! thank you guys for a great afternoon — i can’t wait for your wedding 🙂

.out of office.

heading to vancouver this weekend for a christmas party and much needed mini vacation with the hubby! all emails and phone calls will be answered when i’m back in the office on tuesday 🙂

i have an awesome engagement session to share when i get back next week — here’s just one image to hold you all over until then… have a great weekend!

.ferreira family.

had a great afternoon with the ferreira family on the weekend! suse is one of my 2008 brides and a total sweetheart, so it was great to get to see her again and meet her family. we got together after the first snowfall of the year… and even though much of it had melted before our session, let’s just say, i hope we all acclimatize quickly or it’s going to be a long winter — ha!

.danielle.

i went down to sylvan lake for a maternity session with my sister-in-law danielle on sunday and had a blast shooting around her gorgeous property. even though it wasn’t a particularly warm day and we started out in jackets and sweaters, by then end of the session we were down at the lake with danielle in significantly less clothing. it ended up being a little too chilly to go in the water, but we made some really cool images on the beach!

one of my favourite thing about being in the photography industry is getting to know so many incredible people — from clients to fellow photographers, i’ve come in contact with some wonderful people throughout this journey! ashley skjaveland is a good friend of mine as well as being an awesome photographer, and i somehow convinced her to come along with me for danielle’s session! it was a really cool opportinity for both of us, as we each got to try some things we don’t do on a regular basis — we shot half outside in natural light (my world) and half indoors with studio light (hers). needless to say, danielle really lucked out with what is quite possibly one of the most diverse maternity shoots ever, lol. here are a few of my favourites from the studio portion of the session.
