i met catherine downtown on saturday afternoon for a super fun session! it was pretty cold outside, but we still had an awesome time, stopping every little while so cath could put on her her winter coat to warm up! catherine’s sister jane originally came along just as her makeup artist, but by the end of the session i had her in front of my camera too! thanks for all the laughs girls 🙂

it seems that everytime i plan a session with that golden sunset light in mind, the sun decides to hide behind the clouds and not come out! despite the lack of sunshine though, my engagement session with nicole and keith last week was great, and together, we made some really awesome images. thanks for the fun evening guys, you’ll have to let me know how dinner went! hope you didn’t end up with too many bruises nicole 😉

i finished up my trip to vancouver with a couple days on the coast with my mom and dad, where i got to have a yummy [belated] thanksgiving dinner and a mini photoshoot with two of the most important people in my life. i tend to get all teary-eyed and sappy when i talk about people i love, so i’m just going to leave it that and share a couple of my favourites from our session.

jen… steve… it’s so hard to come up with the words to explain what an amazing time i had sharing the week with the two of you (and everybody else in the room). from laughter to tears, and everything in between, each moment of every day was absolutely incredible. i’ve come away from the experience with new friends, new knowledge, and the tools and confidence needed to achieve new dreams. thank you both so SO much for sharing all that you have so openly with all of us.

that’s what i came up with two days after the seminar in an attempt to thank the bebbs for an amazing week. it’s really still incredibly hard to put it all into words… what i can say though, to all the photographers reading, is whenever they announce v2.0, get your name on that list!

i’ll be shooting kristyn and scott’s wedding in edmonton this winter, but because they live in vancouver, we hadn’t had the opportunity to ever meet in person. it was so great to hook up for their engagement session while i was in bc so we could all get to know each other! we found a ton of super cool locations wandering around yaletown and had an awesome session. thanks for being my tour guides you two; i’m so looking forward to your wedding in february!
