last saturday was nothing short of awesome! tara and tyler are super laid back people and opted to have their photo session before their ceremony, which i am a huge fan of doing. (this is especially great for evening spring/fall weddings and any winter weddings in edmonton – when the light fades so early in the day – ensuring that we get some fabulous light for photos!) tara was prepared for the melting snow and mucky ground in her black and pink rubber boots and we were able to make so many fantastic images!
instead of the traditional reception, after their ceremony, a quick
bite to eat and some speeches, tara, tyler and a few of their friends headed off to the
casino for a night of fun before heading off on what is sure to be an
uber rad honeymoon! after spending a couple of minutes shooting jana in the field, i was able to catch this cool image of the sun setting outside the casino.
hope you’re both enjoying the kid-free holiday!

speaking of holidays, i’m on spring break!! i have one short week to get all organized for the wedding season (those super cool new sample albums we’ve chatted about in meetings — they’ll be here soon!), a wedding here in edmonton next weekend, back into the school for two more weeks of teaching, and a wedding in banff, and then i will be graduating (yay!) and heading off on my trip to the states (yay yay!)! i can’t wait to be finished school, get away from the snow, see old friends and meet new ones, check out some cool workshops, and shoot to my little heart’s content! i will definitely be blogging on the road so look forward to some different scenery around here in a few short weeks! okay, back to designing those albums! xox, a.
