.melynda and brad.

after driving out to the resort on a blue skied beautiful friday with the top down in our rental — woohoo for free upgrades — mark and i awoke in our cozy little cabin on white point beach to rain pounding down on the rocks and water like nothing i’ve ever seen before. yet, when i arrived at the hair salon bright and early, melynda was so cheerful and laid-back that i knew the weather wasn’t going to affect the day in the slightest. i was right — despite the fact that the wind and rain continued for most of the day, mel and brad’s wedding was a blast from the moment i arrived in the morning until the last guest was screeched in as an honourary newfoundlander at the reception 😉

a couple of images mark grabbed of brad’s tux before the guys got dressed in the morning.

mel and brad decided to do a reveal before their ceremony so we could do their photosession beforehand and the guests wouldn’t have a long wait in between the ceremony and reception. here they are from mine and mark’s perspective’s just before seeing each other for the first time.

and i love how happy mel looks here right after the first glimpse.

the weather broke momentarily just after the ceremony so we took the opportunity to grab a couple of shots before the skies opened up again! this was just a candid moment outside the church (we weren’t able to shoot during the actual ceremony if you are wondering where those images are…) while the receiving line was getting organized, but the flowers are so beautiful — i love orchids and lillies, especially pink ones 😉 — i definitely had to share it!

thank you both so much for sharing your wedding day and your home province with mark and i — nova scotia is just beautiful and without this opportunity i have no idea when we would have ever made it out that way. hope the honeymoon was fan-freakin-tastic, and we will see you when you get home. xox.
