it appears that for at least the last couple of days, i have been unable to receive email on my server. of course this had to happen while on holidays (doesn't it always work that way?!) so i was unaware of the issue. on top of that, my autoresponders are still going out, so although i actually haven't received anything, it appears to the sender that i have!
