i'd estimate that at least forty percent of my blog visitors aren't from canada, so i'll preface this by letting you all know its thanksgiving here this weekend!
now, onto the good stuff…
some of you may remember that i had mentioned going to calgary a few weeks back for a maternity session… well, what i neglected to mention was that it wasn't just any maternity session but one to showcase our own impending new arrival — that's right, mark and i are expecting a little hanki in just a couple of months now!! (i guess it's about time i announced it HERE!) we couldn't be more excited abut the little one, and we jumped at the chance to meet with the fabulous jodi renee who hails from oakville, ontario when she was in calgary for a few days! we had an amazing afternoon trying to pretend that we know what we are doing on the other side of the camera 😉 here are a handful of the awesome images she created, and you can see a whole bunch more on her blog.
needless to say, i have a LOT to be thankful for this year! between this soon-to-arrive new little member of our family and an uber successful year of amazing clients, friends and opportunities, i can definitely say 2008 has been one of my best years yet!! i can't wait to see what the next couple of months have in store for us, and even though my schedule is starting to slow down in preparation for maternity leave, if people are interested, i'll definitely stick around and keep updating the blog as i can. (i'll even have a few more maternity sessions to share from some other incredible photographers!!)
and while we're here chatting about things slowing down for my mat leave, i suppose i should give out some info regarding availability for 2009! of course my schedule is going to look a little different that it has for the past season, as i'll be cutting back on bookings to be sure to have lots of time for our growing little family. as it stands right now, i am booked up for weddings for the summer and have one opening each left in september, october, november and december of next year, so if you are planning a fall or winter '09 wedding and are interested in getting in touch with me, don't wait too long! i also have a waitlist going for '09 life sessions, and will start contacting those on the list when i open up my calendar for the spring, so do let me know if you'd like to be added to that as well!!
