i spent a couple of days over spring break down in ponoka with my good friend and fellow photographer ashley skjaveland. we headed out to grab some buns for our bbq just before dinner one evening and the light was too gorgeous to not stop in the field near her place to shoot off a few frames! i think my recent affinity for fields
is a result of the long winter and my excitement over the fact that the
snow was finally melting and the grass starting to show through…
i also had the opportunity to tag along for one of her newborn sessions, and let me tell you, this girl is a baby whisperer… here’s a little glimpse of the master at work,
and a couple of images i captured of the adorable little man she was shooting.

on another note, it’s going to be a while before you see any more pictures in fields around here — just in time for deb and bill’s wedding yesterday, we got a fresh blanket of about eight inches of the white stuff… so much for spring 😛
